The Rotary Foundation Initiative was organized as a collaborative educational initiative between the Rotaract Club of Kandy and the Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya with the objective of improving member awareness and understanding regarding The Rotary Foundation, its opportunities, contribution processes, and available support systems within the Rotary network. The project focused on educating Rotaractors about the importance and role of The Rotary Foundation in supporting humanitarian service, educational opportunities, community development, and global Rotary initiatives. Through this initiative, both clubs aimed to encourage members to become more informed and engaged with Rotary Foundation-related activities and opportunities. As part of the collaboration, awareness and informational sessions were conducted within both clubs independently following the shared initiative discussions. The initiative was shaped by clear objectives: To educate members regarding The Rotary Foundation and its functions. To increase awareness about Rotary Foundation opportunities and support systems. To guide members on Rotary Foundation communication and contribution processes. To strengthen collaboration between the two Rotaract clubs. To improve member engagement with Rotary Foundation initiatives. To strengthen understanding of the Rotary and Rotaract relationship. To encourage future participation in Rotary Foundation-supported activities. To promote sustainable inter-club educational collaborations.
